Elizabeth McCarron · Advanced Facialist, Edinburgh

Meet Elizabeth

Thirty years of getting to know skin

I'm Elizabeth McCarron, an advanced facialist in Edinburgh's West End. With more than 30 years in professional skincare, my work is shaped by careful assessment, clinical knowledge and a long-term approach to skin health.

I trained at the London Esthetique School of Beauty under Beryl Barnard, former head of The Sanctuary at Harrods. I then worked in clinics across South Kensington and Knightsbridge before returning to Edinburgh in 2000 to establish my own practice.

My work is grounded in careful assessment and long-term planning. Every decision is made according to how your skin is behaving and what it genuinely requires.

Alongside my clinical practice, I serve as a judge for the Scottish Aesthetics Awards 2025/26, am the Scottish Brand Ambassador for Forlle'd, and was named Edinburgh's Best Facialist by Skinade and Lumity. I am also co-author of Beauty and the Best No. 2, a collaborative book exploring excellence in aesthetics and skincare.

I work with a limited number of clients at any one time to ensure each skin journey receives the attention it requires.

I’ve been with Liz for 23 years. I don’t think there’s anyone better in Scotland. I’ve never wanted the kind of facial where they put on a mask, leave the room, and wipe it off. I wanted results; that’s what I love about Liz.

It is a commitment, and Liz was really honest about that. To get the results I wanted, it was a two-way lean-in
