Dermaforce (RF Microneedling)

Dermaforce combines two technologies in one treatment: microneedling and radio frequency. Together they reach deeper than either does alone.

For clients in my Edinburgh practice whose skin needs real firming, this is usually where we begin.

How it works

Fine needles create tiny channels in the skin, which prompts it to repair and produce new collagen. At the same time, radio frequency heats the deeper layers, causing collagen fibres to contract and tighten.

I can adjust the depth and the energy precisely. That means I can address significant laxity in one session and refine texture and tone in the next.

What I use it for

  • Loss of firmness, particularly in thinner, more mature skin

  • Fine lines and deeper wrinkles

  • Enlarged pores, uneven texture and acne scarring

  • Lax skin on the neck

It can be used on a wide range of skin tones.

What to expect

Your appointment is around an hour. The skin is usually a little red afterwards, settling within a day or two. Dermaforce works best as a course, spaced to give the skin time to rebuild.

Within a Skin Journey

Dermaforce does much of the rebuilding work. Within a Skin Journey I sequence it with gentler treatments and the right homecare, so the skin recovers well between sessions.
