How it works
Fine needles create tiny channels in the upper layers of the skin. The skin treats these as small injuries and switches into repair, releasing growth factors and producing new collagen, elastin and the molecules that hold moisture in the skin. I apply growth factors during the treatment to support that response.
The change is gradual. Each session builds on the last.
What I use it for
Acne scarring and uneven texture
Fine lines and deeper wrinkles
Enlarged pores
Sun damage, and supporting the skin as pigmentation is treated
I also use my microneedling pen freehand, which lets me work precisely on a small area. For clients who cannot have any treatment that uses an electrical current, it is the route I take.

Within a Skin Journey
Skin needling is the foundation that several other treatments build on. In my Edinburgh practice I use it on its own, or as the way of delivering polynucleotides and exosomes into the skin.
