Redness, rosacea and reactive skin

Redness has many causes. Some is a passing reaction to heat or exercise. Some is rosacea, a long-term condition that can be managed well but not cured. Some is a skin barrier that has been over-treated and now reacts to everything.

Many of the clients I see in Edinburgh with reactive skin have tried a great deal already. More products are rarely the answer.

How I assess it

I look at the pattern of the redness, any visible broken capillaries, what triggers a flare and what you are using on your skin now. Diet, stress and lifestyle play a larger part here than with almost any other concern, so we talk about those too.

How I approach it

Calm first. Where the barrier is compromised, I settle the skin before anything more active, often with the Marie Reynolds Restore Facial or exosomes. Once the skin is calmer, IPL can reduce redness and visible capillaries over a course. Homecare is simplified, not added to.

Within a Skin Journey

Rosacea responds to consistency. Regular contact means I can see a flare coming and adjust before it takes hold.
